Orla's Nanny Agency was built by someone who has lived and breathed childcare from the inside.
My Story
I have been working in the childcare industry for nearly 20 years. Fourteen of those years were spent as a nanny, and I have also worked in nursery settings and as a childminder. Every role has given me a deeper understanding of what it truly means to care for a child — and what families and carers need from one another.
I have always loved spending time with nannies and being part of this wonderful industry. I know first-hand the special bond that forms between a nanny and the family she works with — it is unlike any other professional relationship, and it deserves to be treated that way.
I now have my own daughter, Orla — who inspired the name of this agency — and building a business that works around her and our family life has been one of my greatest joys. She reminds me every day why this work matters.
Why I Started the Agency
I wanted to help families find the kind of amazing nannies I have known throughout my career — carers who are skilled, dedicated, and genuinely invested in the children they look after. I also wanted to support nannies in finding placements where they will truly thrive. Having been on both sides, I understand what each party needs, and I am committed to making every match a great one.
